3D SCANNER, 3D Scanner, 3D Digitizer

New Spatium FMM 3D Scanner

The complete optical 3D measurement solution.

A flexible measurement machine (FMM) using high end proprietary technology. Based on white light pattern projection, the 3D Scanner triangulates all points visibles by the two cameras.

Spatium FMM 3D Scanner is the first high end high resolution 3D digitizer to offer a complete optical measurement solution. From surface inspection, edge detection and hole/features measurement to single point tactile probe measurement.

Measurement principle

Spatium FMM 3D Scanner uses structured white light projection to measures part surfaces. Through a pattern projection is possible to triangulate every point visible to the both cameras.

Two high definition industrial cameras are used to acquire the projected pattern. The calculation and measurement are made by Spatium FORMA software that shows the tridimensional coordinates of the points.

Optical Probe Principle - Spatium 3D

Probe Spatium OTP

The Optical Tracked Probe Spatium OTP allows precise measurement of features as holes, edges and hidden surfaces not visible by the projection system. Even with full part coverage and perfect surface measurement some surfaces or features may not be visible to the 3D Scanner and have to be measured by classical CMM's.

Avoiding fixing and alignment of the part, that could be very time-consuming, Spatium have developed an optical tracked probe. Spatium FMM 3D Scanner is capable do track the probe and triangulate its position. The user clicks to acquire point data and the system calculates features like circles, slots, retangles, spheres, cylinders, cones, etc.
